Antivirus Support For Windows XP
If you are like many people today, you may be in need of antivirus support for your Windows XP operating system. It is not uncommon at all for Windows users to experience slow performance from time to time. They may get random pop up advertisements as well. You may find that some programs will not work at all anymore. In addition, you may encounter virus related problems such as runtime errors or DLL errors. These problems make it impossible to use your computer properly.
Run antivirus support for windows xp by using a third party uninstaller. Many people are confused when they run into problems such as this, but rest assured that you can do it yourself. Fortunately, the task is easy. Simply download an appropriate uninstaller from Microsoft.
For many XP users, the problem lies with their antivirus support. Microsoft has issued guidelines that must be followed on installation and uninstallation of their product. Unfortunately, these instructions were not included with the original copy of Windows XP. When installing the product, you need to follow the directions that came with the program in order to allow the antivirus to complete the uninstall process properly.
First off, close all programs that you are not using. This includes programs that you are using to play online games or surfing the internet. Once you have finished this task, open up the control panel by clicking on the Start button on the task bar and then going to Control Panel. On the Control Panel window, go to Add/Remove Programs. On the Select a program window, click the Down arrow next to ActiveX Features and then click Disable. Finally, go to the file manager by clicking on the Files link next to Shared and Installable Computer Items and then open the folder that corresponds to the Windows Security Suite program.
Double click on the antivirus support utility, which is located in the Start Menu at the bottom of the screen. Look for the entry called Microsoft Application Guard. This will give you options regarding how to handle the application guard dialog box that will pop up whenever your computer is infected. For most windows xp machines this is the first thing you will have to do. On the General tab, deselect any applications that are not being used or that you are sure you can remove. Clicking the x sign in the upper right corner of the screen will permanently close the dialog box that appears anytime a virus is detected on your operating systems.
Note: Microsoft has included an application that will perform the same functions as the one discussed above. This utility is called Microsoft Safety Eye. You can download the latest version from the Microsoft website. This utility is also available on a number of other websites, and I highly suggest that you search for it at Google or one of the other reputable search engines.
